If you are unable to leave your home or office OR you are just too lazy to go out, You can go to Doordash's website or click on the app on your iPhone or Droid and gain access to a whole load of Diners, Pizza Parlors, Fast food joints and restaurants. You can then select your food choices, and then pay by credit card or ApplePay if you have an iPhone. You can also choose the tip for the driver. I believe tips start at 10% and go up to 25%. The app will show the status and time you should expect delivery. Since this is a company that is not affiliated with any eatery, I suspect they call the eatery and place the order. Then they contact the driver to tell them where they are picking up the food and the name and address of the customer. My two experiences were ok. The first order came right on time. The second order actually came early. Keep in mind the distance the driver must drive from the eatery to your home. The order from Oakland Diner was warm but not cold. The order from the PQ was a tad cool, but delicious as always. One thing though, neither restaurants menus had a selection for cakes and pies. The only deserts you could order was fresh fruit cups or ice cream. Beverages are available. They come with ice in a 12oz plastic cup. The driver will either text you or call you when they arrive at your house. Overall, this has been a good service so this service is APPROVED.
